SUMMARY:POLY-CHAR 2024 - Polymers for our future
DESCRIPTION:The main aim of POLY-CHAR conferences for nearly 30 years has been to bring together both academia and industry at all levels. This includes researchers involved in experiment\, theory and computer simulations to achieve a systemic understanding of the connections between the structures\, properties and applications of all types of polymers. This has and continues to be an underlying theme of this conference series. Both chemistry and physics play a key role in all topic aspects. The planned 2024 POLY-CHAR conference will also be based on the underlying theme of ‘Polymers for our future’\, to help promote cross-discipline understanding between the classical branches of polymer science and some of the more avant-garde fields. The conference theme covers topics of special significance at the present time\, such as\, sustainability\, recyclability\, energy\, health and security. \nAnother key point of POLY-CHAR is that it has always placed special emphasis on international collaboration\, promotion of young scientists and providing a collegial environment. It should also be noted that a good balance between gender\, and senior and young scientists has and will be sought throughout both the organization and duration of the conference.
